However, if not residing in Georgia, i nterior build-out is best provided by an experienced, local house-building contractor. SteelCo does not generally provide these services for customers. These floor and design plans serve the purpose of enabling the interior build-out construction process utilizing local resources ordinarily contracted for by the home owner.

SteelCo will help design your luxury Barndominium structure to accommodate a wide variety of exterior sidings. Many barndominium owners choose exterior siding from our economical steel panels offered in several panel profiles and finished in durable long-lasting baked-on finishes in a variety of colors. Wood, stone, masonry, stucco and other traditional materials are also possible. We can work with you to create the exterior appearance you want for your new home.
With its open floor plan and industrial charm, a steel Barndominium provides a modern living environment while retaining the structural integrity required for long-term durability. In contrast, a non-barndominium or traditional home structure typically follows conventional residential construction methods, utilizing materials such as wood framing and masonry. If you want two stories, with a provision for windows on each floor and a loft that opens to a clear living area, we can do that.
When you want living space adjoining open areas, we can do that. We craft the steel framing, exterior covering materials, and roof system custom fit to your requirements and living space design.

And speaking of budget, your dollars go a lot further with a steel framed home than with a traditional wood framed building. Simply choose any of the sample designs above and you will see how adaptable steel framing is in designing Barndominiums. If one of these designs is a good place to start in developing your final design, you can purchase a Builder set of drawings for the price shown next to the design label. Building departments that require a stamp of this nature will generally require one registered in the state where you will be building the structure.
When you order a structure from SteelCo Buildings, your structure will be provided with a complete set of drawings stamped by an engineer registered in the state where the structure will be built. We do not include mechanical or plumbing drawings.
Horse Barn
These drawings and any required building code analysis, energy calculations or other design and engineering documentation is not provided by SteelCo Buildings as a part of this package and should be provided by a local designer or builder. Additional copies and mirrored plans are available to show your home the way you plan to build it. The plans you choose will be promptly sent for you to continue with your planning and build-out process. It takes far less time to erect a barndominium than ordinary exterior framing. You will be moved in and settled and enjoying your new living space while others, choosing conventionally framed structures, wait for the construction process to be done. All types of construction require permitting and approvals throughout the construction process.
Your permitting process will move quickly as local authorities are provided with engineering calculations, details and other critical information from manufacturers pre-approved and recognized for their design excellence. SteelCo Buildings is in Oxford Georgia, and we are limited to an approximate mile radius where we can generally provide recommendations for contractors that can complete the construction of your Barndominium.
They will know contractors that can provide site grading and preparation, concrete slab and foundation placement, steel erection, and framing and finish contractors to complete the buildout of a typical Barndominium where your construction will occur.
